Cabinas Manolo is located in the Osa Peninsula on the northwest side of Corcovado National Park in Drake Bay, in Agujitas town.

- Plane from San José to DrakeWe are just a short walk from the beach (300 meters - 7 minute walk).
You can choose between the Inter-American Highway (by San Isidro de Perez Zeledón) or by the new Costanera Highway (along the coast by Quepos and Dominical) to get to Palmar Norte. In Palmar Norte continue by the Inter-American Highway until Chacarita (gas station), take the right (south) and follow the signs to Rincón de Osa. In Rincón take the right (west) and follow the signs to Drake. It takes about 8 hours from SJ to Drake. The road from Rincón de Osa to Drake is 4x4 only, and it is not passable between August and October due to the level of the rivers.
Car from San José to Sierpe (+ boat)
You can choose between the Inter-American Highway (by San Isidro de Perez Zeledón) or by the new Costanera Highway (along the coast by Quepos and Dominical) to get to Palmar Norte. In Palmar Norte, after crossing the Térraba River Bridge turn to the right, you will pass through banana and oil palm plantations arriving at the town of Sierpe. In Sierpe you can leave your car in a parking lot (ask for parking information at Las Vegas Restaurant), and take a boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay. It takes about 5 hours from SJ to Sierpe.
Bus from San José to Sierpe (+ boat)
Near the Pacific Coast Bus Station in San José (streets 14-16, Av.5), are the buses of TRACOPA that travel daily towards the South zone. If you want to arrive at Drake Bay the same day, you must take the 5:00am bus, which arrives at Palmar Norte at 10:30am. approx (5 - 6 hours approx duration). In Palmar Norte immediately take a taxi to Sierpe (approx 20 minutes). Then take a boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay. If you want to take the 5:00am bus, buy the ticket the previous day.

In Las Vegas Restaurant in Sierpe you will find a captain to take you to Drake (you can look for our captain Alexander, known as Chanchita). The collective boats leave at 11:30am and cost $15pp. If you take the boat after this time you will have to take a special boat, which will be more expensive.
The trip in boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay takes approximately 1hr and 15min. It sails by the channels of the Sierpe river contemplating idyllic mangrove swamps and observing birds and crocodiles. After 45 minutes of trip, the river ends and you continue by sea, near the coast, for 20 more minutes, arriving at the beach of Drake. Attention: You will get your feet wet when dropping of the boat!
Our hotel is 300mts from the beach. When approaching Drake ask the captain to phone us, so that will be in the beach with our car, and help you with your luggage. If you want to walk to the hotel it takes about 7 minutes.
There are boats after 3 pm, but it is extremely important to make the reservation in advance.

Two national airlines, SANSA (from the Juan Santamaría international airport) and NATUREAIR (from the Tobías Bolaños regional airport in Pavas) fly daily to Drake Bay and Palmar Sur (duration: approx 45 minutes). Then take a taxi by road to the hotel (5km, $7pp).
We will organize for you any necessary local transport. We can call a taxi to wait for you in the airport and take you to the hotel.
You can buy plane tickets easily in the Internet sites of the airlines, www.flysansa.com and www.natureair.com.

IMPORTANT: Keep in mind there are no banks in Drake Bay. It is highly recommendable to bring cash (colones or dollars), since when paying with credit card usually an additional fee is charged.
